Three Kids in the Storm

  Tornado of Hope Cold wind was blowing through the broken streets of the small town while dark clouds were gathering slowly in the sky. Old newspapers were flying across the road, and dry leaves were spinning around empty sidewalks. Cars were moving quickly through the crowded streets while people were rushing toward shops, offices, and buses without looking around much. Near the edge of the town, an old abandoned shelter was standing beside a railway bridge. Its walls were cracked, the roof was leaking in several places, and rusty metal sheets were hanging loosely near the entrance.   The golden Italian sun was shining brightly over the Mediterranean while waves were rolling lazily toward the wide sandy beach. A soft breeze was drifting across the shore, carrying the scent of saltwater and fresh seafood from the small restaurants nearby. Colorful umbrellas were dotting the beach while tourists were lounging on chairs, sipping cold drinks, and enjoying the warmth of summer. Children were running across the sand while building crooked sandcastles near the water. Seagulls were gliding above the waves and occasionally swooping down to investigate abandoned snacks. In the distance, small fishing boats were rocking gently while the sea was sparkling like scattered diamonds under the sunlight.  Along the shoreline, people were strolling slowly while the cool water was touching their feet.
